Sphere Chucky
The Sphere Chucky Set is an aid for those who turn Spheres to remove the tenon's, for holding a radiused surface or even an item such as a piece of flat Alabaster stone (Shown further down the page); but it is only limited by your imagination.
Sphere Chucky Sets are available in two options both with and without the MT2 Chucky Arbor(Click Here for info).
You must have a Live Center with removable cone to mount the Sphere Chucky in your tailstock.

Small Sphere Chucky Set

The Small Sphere Chucky Set consists of two Chuckies; each approximately 2" diameter by 2" long.
The tenon is approximately 1.75" diameter.

Large Sphere Chucky Set

The Large Sphere Chucky Set consists of two Chuckies; each approximately 2.75" diameter by 3" long.
The tenon is approximately 2.5" diameter.
Like most woodturning projects, there are many ways to accomplish the same thing. Some turner's prefer using the same diameter Sphere Chucky and other's prefer to use only one and a point or ball in the live center; while some prefer two different size Chuckies and purchase both sets (thus the two different sizes for more options).
All Sphere Chuckies can be used with a Scroll Chuck, Live Center with removable cone and 3/4 -10 thread or on the optional MT2 Arbor.
You must have a Live Center with Removable cone to mount in the tailstock - See additional information below.
They can also be used for holding items other than Spheres.
