Mr. Don Doyle,
First of all, I would like to thank you for your prompt delivery of my purchase. I heard about "Rubber Chucky" while watching the latest video by Tom Yoder. I have discovered that the stuff works as well as he said it would. I am, to say the least, very pleased. On a totally unrelated note, I am a fellow Michigander, having graduated from Ionia High School in 1965. Thank you again for your prompt service. Sincerely, Bob Pierce

Hi Don, great speaking with you today also.
As I mentioned, I do more bowl turning than spindle work, but every year about this time I get asked by my scuba diving pals to make sea urchin ornaments.
I always oblige them, but turning delicate finials was always time consuming and a nerve wracking experience for me. This year I used your Finial Chuckies for the first time and it easily made the job 10 times faster, plus I was a lot more comfortable during the entire process. Instead of turning the finial in little 1 inch segments from the pointy end, sanding, finishing and repeating until I got to the bottom .. all I had to do was turn the point with tail stock support, then swap the live center with a Finial Chucky and turn the remainder of the finial all at once. No stopping every inch to sand, etc. In addition, when I was done if I felt like going back to the thin end to make some adjustments, it was no problem. The whole piece was still secure and I could adjust even the thinnest parts, something I could never do easily (or at all) without the Finial Chucky
The Finial Chucky held the piece securely allowing me to turn the entire length of my finials, then sand and finish, all in one step. A GREAT time saver, I never felt the piece was unsecure or ready to blow up no matter how thin I was cutting. Much nicer than having the thin end whipping around as you complete the finial back toward the headstock.
Thanks for making auch great products, I use them all the time.
Here is a picture of my latest batch of ornaments. Like I said, I am not the best spindle turner, but my friends love these and the Finial Chucky makes them VERY easy to mass produce.
Sincerely,
Dick Rowe

Don,
I have several of your products and I love them all but I really wanted to take this opportunity to comment on your latest offering, the Finial Chucky. Turning long thin finials has always been a challenge for me. You always have to start at the tip and work your way to the base a section at a time, finishing it as you go. If you make a mistake, too bad, you start over. Well this Finial Chucky eliminates that problem. All I have to turn unsupported is the tip. Then mount it between centers using this ingenious devise and now your are supported and can turn the whole finial as you would any spindle, with support at both ends. I absolutely LOVE it ! The attached photo is 7-1/4" long and made from holly, dyed black. The thinnest part of the stem is a hair over 1/16". Thanks again for this wonderful product.

Some beautiful work from Down Under!
Here are some pictures and comments from Bob Collins
from Kangaroo Flat, Victoria, Australia
G’day Don, Just to let you know I have used the No Nose chuckie and the Abranet and found them great.
First use of the No Nose chuckie and was happy with the way it held my project with little pressure applied from the tail stock while turning a plywood winged bowl at high speed. It left no marking as with the metal chuck.
Found the Abranet excellent for hand sanding the plywood. I posted this project on Lumberjocks site and gave your products a mention.
Now to try the other chuckies. Regards Bob Collins
