(The Easy way to turn Spheres and More)
We are pleased to offer our version of a design that we believe was developed in Germany.
We have no affiliation wIth whomever initiated this process.
However, we feel we made a few improvements and can offer our version for approximately 1/3 the price.
Our version is 100% MADE IN THE USA!
This Chucky system consists of two Easy Turn (Double "V") Chuckies with protective (Red) covers, two Safety Collars (with set screws), one MT2 Chucky Arbor an Allen Wrench and extra set screws.
If you already have a Chucky Arbor you can order wihout one. However, be advised it will not work without one.
Please note that the Chucky MT2 Arbor can also be used with any other chucky and has multiple other uses ~ for more information click HERE.
You will also need a Live Center that exposes 3/4-10 threads by removing the cone.
Click HERE to see the Robust Live Centers we offer.
The above pictures show the use of the Easy Turn Chucky and the Safety Collars
You start with turning a cylinder that is the same length as the diameter.
Turn a tenon on each side of the cylinder.
After turning a tenon slide the Safety Collar over the tenon and secure it with the set screw. We suggest tightening the set screw into the exposed wood of the tenon. When storing the collar secure it to one of the wrench flats.
In the videos below you will see that you can see the "shadow" of a sphere when the blank is turning.
Simply remove material to match this shadow.
To remove the tenons we suggest either our Sphere Chucky (click here) or our Anything Chucky (click here).
The Easy Turn Chucky can also be used to turn Cubes both between centers and offset
but very careful and take small cuts.

Please note: Some of the pictures and video's above show our original prototype testing Single "V" design.
The final Easy Turn Chucky is a Double "V" design that we feel holds the wood more securely.
