For those that have made their own Vacuum Chuck from PVC, we are pleased to offer the following Vacuum Seals.  We also offer the seals with couplings.

These seals fit 2", 3" and 4" Schedule 40 PVC Couplings.  They will NOT work with other couplings.

2" Seal, 3" Seal and 4" Seal
PVC is primarily for the plumbing industry, so the sizes are standard to that industry.

These seals are made for the COUPLING sizes which correspond to fit the nominal pipe I.D. (An ASTM Standard)

A 3" Coupling fits over a 3" I.D. pipe; so it is called a 3" coupling but of course has a larger outside diameter that is actually closer to 4 inches.

Another explanation is that a 3" Coupling has an O.D. of approximately 4" but will fit  over a 3" pipe whose O.D. is approximately 3.5". this is because the couplings are made to fit over a pipe and takes into account the wall thickness of the coupling and the O.D. of the pipe.  For this , you would order the 3" seal.

The same scenario is atrue for the 2" and 4" seals except that they fit a reducers couplings.

Still confused?  Please call or write before ordering.

If you wish to make your own hub and only need the coupling and appropriate seal we are pleased to offer them as well.  See dropdown menu at top of page for ordering.
Shown below are the seals mounted on a coupling or coupling reducer.

NOTE: If you made your Vacuum Chuck using PVC Pipe you will need to add the appropriate coupling to the pipe.

Turn or cut the coupling down so its length is just enough to hold the seal.  Make sure to put the cut side of the coupling on the pipe, allowing for the original surface to hold the seal.  This surface may also need to be trued.

This procedure is to be done at your own risk and Rubber Chucky Products, LLC holds no responsibility.

All seals can be cleaned with a mild detergent and/or refurbished with a light coating of WD-40.  Make sure to wipe the excess
WD-40 dry before using the seal.
