Cylinder Vacuum/Jam Chucky
Available in four Diameters
2.125", 2.75", 4" and 5.75"
(measured to outside diameter - size is approximate)
2.125” diameter - great for small items but limited vacuum due to size
Designed primarily as a Vacuum Chuck these unique Chuckies can also be used as a Jam Chuck
The seal is built right into the Chucky!
When using as a Jam Chuck it will fit in a Scroll Chuck (it has a tenon), on a Live Center (with removable cone) or in the headstock spindle mounted on our MT2 Arbor.

To utilize it as a Vacuum Chucky you will need one of our

This product Will NOT work with a Lamp Rod or Hose Type style Vacuum system!!
The difference between our arbors is that the Vacuum Arbor has a hole bored through it to allow for the vacuum while the MT2 Chucky Arbor has a 1/4-20 tapped hole in the taper end to accommodate a draw bar and also has a 1/4" hole (with a cross drilled hole and set screw) for adding auxiliary items such as a buff or sanding disk. The 3" Chucky Arbor is not used for Vacuum Chucking!

The Vacuum Arbor should NOT be used in place of our Chucky Arbor as it cannot be fitted with a Draw Bar.

Your elevation to Sea Level
Porosity in the workpiece
Consistancy of your turning
The smaller the Chucky the less vacuum you will achieve due to a smaller surface area.
ALWAYS USE YOUR TAILSTOCK WHEN POSSIBLE

to give you better access to your workpiece when using the tailstock
