When installing the blade to the grinder shaft use TWO WRENCHES to tightent the nut (it is left hand thread) - One underneath the blade on the adapter body and one on the nut. If you just try to tighten the nut without stopping the adapter from turning the shaft of the grinder it won't be tight enough AND WILL COME OFF when you turn on the machine. Also, make sure the black dot on the nut is and the blade are facing up (so that you see the dots).

This item works with any conventional glass grinder and converts it into a horizontal saw. Great for cutting bottles, rims from Drops, etc.
Due to the temporary shortage of both 4” and 6” Blades - any order will be limited to a maximum of one extra blade of each size (if available). Please do not order any blades without ordering an adapter- I have to save them so others can get the adapter. I will offer individual blades when they are available.
Can also be used with a Flat Lap with a 1/2" arbor hole - available on Amazon. Flat What size blade should I order?
The adapter can use either the 4" or 6" blade. It can also use Diamond LAPS with a 1/2" arbor hole.
After extensive research and speaking with other Glassies we determined that MOST of the Drop Rings have a FLANGE *** of 1.75" or LESS -
Most are in the 1.25" to 1.5" range. Therefore the 4" blade will work for the majority of your Drop Vessels. The 6 " Blade will allow a maximum cut of 2.75". If by chance you have a rare vessel with a flange over 2.75" you can trim some glass off the flange (Rim) before using the Grinder Saw Adapter.
***The Flange (also refered to as the RIM) is the distance from the outside of the vessel body to the outside edge. Don't confuse this dimension with the total outside diameter of the vessel.

Regardless of what the order drop down menu states you can still send an email order. This will ensure your place in line and that product will be made available to you ASAP and an invoice will be sent accordingly.
4. I know it all sounds complicated (and I appreciate your patience) but it is the best I can do at the present time.
Upon receipt of your order, I will send a PayPal invoice.
If the shipping charge is different it will be reflected in the invoice - you can pay the invoice or simply ignore it and it will be cancelled after 5 days.
There is also a Currency Exchange charge of 4% of the TOTAL including shipping - this is charged to me by Paypal and a cost I have to pass along. I DO NOT get this money!
If I am out of stock you will be notified and no invoice will be sent. You will get an email and if you wish to wait you can reply and I will contact you when available.
